Poverty, Unemployment, Illiteracy-NOT the causes of Islamic Terrorism / Jihad
Posted by The Mindset on November 12, 2012
Many people believe that Islamic Terrorism / Jihad is due to socio-economic conditions. That jihadis are some poor, hungry lot who have nothing to feed their family so they join this war run by the oil-rich Muslims.
Although oil-rich Muslims are involved but it’s not all about poor Muslims, on the contrary it’s the employed, literate Muslims from well-to-do families who are more likely to join Jihad rather than poor hungry and illiterate Muslims.
Here are the most notable cases which proves this :-
Osama bin Laden, the face of world wide Islamic terror, the person who planned 9/11 was born in the wealthy Saudi bin Laden family not in some slum. Read about Saudi bin Laden group here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saudi_Binladin_Group
The wiki article on Osama says :
Bin Laden was raised as a devout Wahhabi Muslim. From 1968 to 1976, he attended the élite secular Al-Thager Model School. He studied economics and business administration at King Abdulaziz University. Some reports suggest he earned a degree in civil engineering in 1979, or a degree in public administration in 1981. One source described him as “hard working”, another said he left university during his third year without completing a college degree.
Osama bin Laden was neither poor nor uneducated. He was from a wealthy family and went to college. Still he chose Islamic Jihad over any other “career options”. He used his wealth, not to open schools or colleges in poor Muslim countries but to wage Jihad against the great satan “Amrika”.
Similar is the case with Muhammad Ali Jinnah -father of modern day Pakistan – the failed state of South Asia, the world’s most dangerous country, the epicenter of world terrorism. Jinnah was born in a wealthy Gujarati merchant family. He went to England and was educated as a barrister at Lincoln’s Inn. Later this person will be held responsible for the division of British India and the massacre of millions of Hindus during partition riots. The most notable of these were the riots on Direct Action Day, 16th August 1946 in which more than 5000 innocent Hindus were murdered by Muslims.
The latest example will include Mohammed Mansoor Asgar – A 31-year-old resident of Pune, who was reportedly working for Yahoo, India, on an annual salary of Rs. 19 lakhs (US $ 45,000).There are not many people in India who get that kind of salary. Still Asgar chose Islam (and hence Islamic terrorism) over his education and career.
He was neither uneducated, unemployed or poor but still he chose to become a terrorist – because that what Muslims are – they don’t become terrorist they ARE terrorists.
Another example is Abdul Subhan Qureshi – a qualified computer expert and mastermind of Indian Mujahideen. He openly proclaimed – Islam is our nation NOT India. Qureshi is not alone, there are thousand other Qureshi in India
According to his previous employer he was an exceptional worker; his salry quadrupled within 6 months. Still he chose Islamic terrorism over his education and career.
Then there was Kafeel Ahmed who died during an attempted attack on Glasgow International Airport on 30 June 2007.
He attacked the Airport along with Bilal Abdullah a Muslim born and raised in UK. Fortunately, the terrorist failed and Ahmed died on 2nd August due to 90% burns.
Kafeel’s parents were doctors. He was an engineer who was studying for a PhD in computational fluid dynamics at Anglia Ruskin University in the UK. He was neither uneducated nor unemployed. He worked at Infotech company but resigned abruptly.
Bilal Abdullah, the the co-conspirator of the attack was from a well-to-do family and was working as a doctor at Royal Alexandra Hospital.
Let’s take a look at the profiles of Muslims involved in 7 July 2005 London bombings. The profiles of the bombers makes it clear that they had families and a good life ahead. 2 of the 4 were married and had children. All four from good family backgrounds.
Still they chose Islamic terrorism over a good life.
All these facts clearly indicate a reoccurring phenomenon – Education or employment can’t have any effect on the Muslims. Even if they have good lives, even if they are educated and employed they are bound to choose Islamic terrorism / Jihad over their normal lives. This is because Islam is a violent cult, a criminal ideology and it has always attracted and will always attract the wrong sort of people. All the people mentioned above and many more chose Jihad over life because that’s what Islam is all about and that’s how Islam is going on for the last 1400 years.
